Spend Halloween with Kentucky Country Singer-Songwriter Marty Brown
If you're a country music fan looking for something special to do on Halloween, here's an idea for you. Country music singer-songwriter Marty Brown is going to be hosting a special event at the Order of Eagles in Central City on October 31st.
Marty, of course, just achieved one of the biggest milestones of his career. He co-wrote the song "To The Moon," which is Track #3 on George Strait's new album Cowboys and Dreamers. Marty, who had his own record deal in the early 1990s, says he tried for over twenty years to get George Strait to record one of his songs. Well, now he has!
Needless to say, Marty's excitement is "to the moon" as well. He just released a brand new t-shirt to commemorate the song's release.

Marty will have his shirts available at his Halloween event Thursday. They are $20 a piece and you can pick one up at the Order of the Eagles at 101 Eagle Drive in Central City. Marty is scheduled to appear there from 5pm to 6pm CST.
Plus, he's got another fun event lined up later this week. On Friday, November 1st, Marty will be singing the National Anthem at the grand reopening of the Walmart in Franklin, Kentucky- where he lives now. Following that performance and appearance, Marty will stick around for a one hour meet and greet.
Marty's wife Shellie says they are keeping their fingers crossed that Universal, George Strait's music label, officially releases "To The Moon" to radio. Marty, of course, has scored some major country chart success before. His biggest radio hit to date was "I'm From the Country", which was recorded by Tracy Byrd. The single was released in February of 1998 and eventually peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
