McLean County Photographer Hosting ‘Stranger Sessions’

McLean County photographer Jessica McGrath has a passion for capturing special moments. Engagements, weddings, babies, graduations, etc., all major life milestones that deserve to be celebrated with what she calls "Graceful Glimpses."

She considers it an honor to be part of documenting memories for families and friends. "I'm just a photographer who loves to speak life into people," Jessica shared. She also has something very intriguing planned called "Stranger Sessions."

What Are Stranger Sessions?

Stranger Sessions are exactly what they sound like. Two strangers meet for a photo shoot and are guided by the photographer to pose and have their pictures taken together and separately. Jessica said, "I've seen the concept on social media, but it's always in or around major cities, and I thought we can still make it happen in a small town."

So far, the ladies are all in! She has five signed up, but only one guy. C'mon fellas! All you have to do is fill out a short questionnaire so Jessica can attempt to pair you with the right person. There is no charge to apply, but there is a $25 session fee for each person on the day of.

"I have a couple of locations in mind in the McLean County area, and hoping to get more applicants from surrounding counties to be able to get the sessions rolling in October. Full-blown fall colors make for beautiful photos."

Duos matched up are not required to go on a date or even talk again after the photo session. "I'm not claiming to be a matchmaker," Jessica joked,  "There are so many people that would like to meet someone new, but maybe they're shy, awkward, etc. I'll be there to break the ice. Bring some laughs and genuine smiles. It doesn't have to go past the session, but how awesome would it be if it did?"
