Kentucky Filmmakers Want You to Be in the Opening Credits of Their Brand New Movie
If you've ever had dreams of being in a horror film, here's your chance. Local filmmakers Eric Huskisson and P.J. Starks are hard at work on their new independent slasher film called New Fears Eve, which is filming right here in Owensboro, KY. They're giving YOU the chance to be featured in the opening credits of the movie.
I speak from experience. I have been in two Starks/Huskisson movies and had a blast filming both.
In the first Volumes of Blood film, my "security guard" character was disemboweled in the parking lot of the Daviess County Public Library. I can't tell you how cold (and gross) bloody meat feels when you're holding your "guts" outside in freezing cold temperatures.
In the sequel to Volumes of Blood, I got to be inside and audiences learned how I narrowly escaped death in one place only to be brutally gutted in another.
Now, YOU have a chance to spend some time on the set of a horror film too. I chatted with P.J. this week to discuss their latest idea. He said:
We're wanting to feature more Owensboro locals in our new film as well as garner a little more financial support and this is a great way to do both.
And, always the salesman (think the love child of Harold Hill and Clive Barker), P.J. really knows how to sell the pitch.
He added:
For the price of a monthly gym membership you know you won't use or the average co-pay at your doctor's office, you can secure your place in our exciting new horror-comedy production New Fears Eve. You don't have to be Tom Hanks or Emily Blunt to be a star.
If you'd like to become "a featured on-screen employee of Hooper Industries in the opening credits" of New Fears Eve, you can!
But first, what exactly is Hooper Industries?
As the coming year approaches three best friends reluctantly prepare for Hooper Industries’ annual New Year’s Eve bash. The clock ticks down and the body count rises as a psychotic murderer known as The Doctor is on the loose.
This sadistic surgeon of death leaves Owensboro covered in blood as local police and FBI are forced to navigate through a maze of bodies left in his wake. Unbeknownst to the three best friends their mandatory party is about to turn deadly when the killer sets his sights on them. December 31st becomes a party to die for when Leslie, Brian, Moses and their colleagues are trapped inside an inescapable building with a blood thirsty madman hell bent on carving his way to midnight.
