Ryan Newman took advantage of a late race caution, in stage 3 to win the Camping World 500, Sunday afternoon. Newman reminded in the top ten all race long, and chose not to pit during the final caution period. Newman's gamble paid off, as he took control in the final two laps, ending a long winless streak for himself and Richard Childress Racing.

Newman was never in the lead until the end of the race, as pole winner Joey Logano won the first 75 lap stage of the race. Logano would finish in the back of the field, however, finishing 31st. Chase Elliott won the 2nd stage, but would not be a real factor, finishing 12th. With the win, Newman locks himself in to the Chase. Newman and Co. will try to go for back to back wins, next week, when the Monster Energy Series heads to the Auto Club Speedway for the Auto Club 400. WBKR's coverage will begin at 1:30P.M.
