Nicky Hayden Sculpture Unveiled in Downtown Owensboro [VIDEO]

Since we learned that a bronze sculpture of Owensboro's "Kentucky Kid" Nicky Hayden had been commissioned as a memorial, we've all been anxiously awaiting the unveiling.

In a ceremony on the front lawn of the Owensboro Convention Center--in the midst of the June 8th, 2018 edition of Friday After Five--the statue, created by Colorado sculptor George Lundeen, was revealed.

Nicky, a MotoGP World Champ, passed away in May of 2017 from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident.
