OPD’s Adam Johnston Named Honorary Grand Marshal for Christmas Parade [PHOTOS]
When I heard the news of dear friend, Adam Johnston, being named honorary Grand Marshal of the Owensboro Christmas Parade it put a huge smile on my face.Adam has been a resident of Owensboro all his life and has been involved with the parade for as long as I can remember. He has done it all from being a member of the parade organization to serving as chairman of the volunteer parade committee, working a tireless amount of hours to make sure our town has the most amazing Christmas Parade in Kentucky. Johnston is responsible for bringing well known names such as; Florence Henderson, Carson Kressley, the Budweiser Clydesdales, and so many more organizations to Owensboro.
Adam is a gradaute of Owensboro Catholic High, married to Emily (Ebelhar) of 13 years, and the two have three children. Johnston has a graduate degree from Western and is heavily involved in the Owensboro-Daviess County community. Not only is Adam devoted to community service but also serves as an officer with the Owensboro Police Department.
