Owensboro Radio Personalities Hosting Free Exercise Class and You Can Join the Fun
If you've ever listened to my radio show, you know that I try my best to stay in shape and I do it in a variety of ways. My go-to is tennis. I have played that sport since I was about 8-years-old. It's my passion, favorite pastime and, even at the age of 51, I still play about four to five times per week.
I also ride bikes. I ride outside on my Trek bike and inside on my Peloton. For about two years, I went to boot camp about four to five times per week. That worked like a charm. I gained tons of muscle mass (and a little weight), but my entire frame changed. I was completely fit.
I also used to run like crazy.
In fact, a few summers ago I ran over 500 miles over the course of several months. It was insane, but I did it and felt great after I finished.
A year ago, I made a commitment to myself to get down to my "running weight" without actually having to run. The first Saturday in May of 2022, I drank my last soda. I haven't had one in over a year and I am making it a point to try to get some workout in every single day. I have dropped about 15 pounds and am currently sitting at that "running weight" I talked about. At the height of running, I weighed 179 pounds. Right now, I am sitting at 182.
Anytime I get the chance to try something new to stay in shape and be healthy, I'll give it a whirl.
I am doing just that on Saturday, May 20th! I am hosting a FREE exercise class at Orange Theory Fitness here in Owensboro and YOU are invited to join me at 10:45am for the fun.
