Our Lady of Lourdes Hosting Bar-B-Que Chicken Sale to Benefit Chuck Kaylor

There is a bar-b-que chicken fundraiser going on right now for Chuck Kaylor of Owensboro.  He was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.  In the meantime, his friends are rallying the troops to help offset pending medical expenses.  Here's how you can pre-order your chickens.  But you need to hurry.  There are only about 150 chickens left to order.

The Chuck Kaylor benefit cookout/event is set for 11am-1pm on Saturday, May 18th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Frederica Street here in Owensboro.  Chickens are $10 a piece and you can purchase yours in advance by calling Aaron Bullington at 270-316-3659.

Chickens not claimed by 1pm on the day of the event will be resold.

In addition to the chicken sale, other fundraising components are in the works. The day of the event, there will be quilt raffle.  Katy Rudy donated a beautiful, handmade quilt for the fundraiser and tickets will be available for purchase.  Plus, you can check out the official event page as more items may be added in the near future.
