I have pretty much known Justin Miller his whole life.  Honestly, I can't even count the number of times I have worked with him in a theatrical setting.  Justin was always involved in musical theatre and, over the years, that involvement has evolved into a passion and, now, a profession.

Justin recently landed a role in the touring company of Finding Neverland, a magical, yet gut-wrenching musical that follows J.M. Barrie and tells the story of the young boy and family who inspired his classic story Peter Pan.

I won't give plot details away, but suffice it to say the musical affected me in the same way the 2004 film did.  When I saw the Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet-led movie, I blubbered all the way from the movie theatre to the parking lot.  When I saw the musical on Broadway, I stood in the front row sobbing as the actors and actresses took their curtain call.

Here's a sneak preview!

From August through November, Justin performed with the company for productions at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Ft. Myers, Florida.  Now, the cast is road-ready and the tour officially kicks off January 10th in Phoeniz, Arizona.  It will wrap on April 12th.

There's some exciting news for local musical fans and for folks who personally know Justin.  The production will be routing through Owensboro on Tuesday, February 18th.  Justin has performed at RiverPark's Cannon Hall several times but says "coming back with the national tour of a show to share that space and my hometown crowd with the friends I have made in Finding Neverland will be very special."

As for the show itself, Justin promises "oohs and ahhs."  And, having seen the show myself, I will happily second that.  It's a magical, moving experience.

You can catch Justin in Finding Neverland when the magical story flies into the RiverPark Center in downtown Owensboro. Tickets are available at the RiverPark Center Box Office (270-687-ARTS) or by CLICKING HERE!
