There are 59 of them, my burger-loving friends. 59!! Owensboro Burger Week 2026 gets underway on Thursday, March 5th and there are a record number of restaurants and food trucks participating. That means a record number of burgers are competing for the title of the "Best Overall Burger in Owensboro."

WHEN IS OWENSBORO BURGER WEEK?

Owensboro Burger Week runs March 5th through the 14th, and each participating restaurant has created a special $8 'Burger Week' burger. So that you can chart your plan of attack and decide which burgers you want to try first, here's a look at photos and descriptions of every one of them.

Owensboro, get ready. Burger Week is BACK and bigger than ever.

MARCH 5 - 14, 2026

This year, you have 10 full days to sink your teeth into all the juicy, beefy goodness our city has to offer.

Here is the best part. Every featured burger is just $8. That means you can enjoy your go to favorite and branch out to try something totally new without breaking the bank.

With a record number of participating restaurants, this is shaping up to be the biggest burger celebration yet.

Owensboro Burger Week is proudly presented by Visit Owensboro, the Kentucky Beef Council, Hill View Farms Meats, and Green River Appliance.

WHO WON OWENSBORO BURGER WEEK LAST YEAR?

The annual People's Choice Award is presented by German American Bank. The two-time defending champion of that award is Kim's Diner. In 2025, Kim's sold 3,468 burgers during Owensboro Burger Week, and her customers voted her burger the best of the bunch.

The overall defending champion (as determined by a distinguished panel of judges/burger experts) is Niko's Bakery & Cafe. Their Smoked Pimento Cretzel Burger was incredible.

THE OFFICIAL OWENSBORO BURGER WEEK GUIDE

Once again, local school teacher and Burger Week fan Katy Tierney will be creating The Official Burger Week Guide. It's a downloadable and printable guide that includes photos of the burgers, descriptions, a comments section (so you can take notes), a ratings system, and more. It's Katy's love for Burger Week and her official guide that has earned her the nickname 'Burger Queen.'
