The Owensboro-Daviess County Senior Community Center is the place to BE these days. They are always planning and hosting fun events for members like potlucks, live music, art classes, line dancing, game nights, and so much more!

When I was in Leadership Owensboro, we visited the senior center for lunch. It was a FREEZING cold day, and we were navigating the community on foot or the city bus. Walking in needing some comfort, they fed us a meal for $1.50, and it was delicious, healthy, and most importantly at the time, warm.

The line dancing class moseyed in, and I danced a round with them to warm up some more. That's a fun workout! Then one of the gentlemen directed me to the free coffee. So, I followed him past the adorable gift shop. They sell handcrafted items made by local seniors. Did you know that?

So many exciting things to come, especially once their new location is completed. If you're 60 or older, you can become a member for free if you are a resident of Owensboro-Daviess County! You'll also become part of the Lunch Bunch and enjoy those lovely lunches in these locations and times:
