A decade ago, Stewart Promotions staged one of the biggest shopping events in the history of Owensboro. Its inaugural flea market at the then newly-opened Owensboro Convention Center drew thousands of eager shoppers and bargain hunters. This is going strictly by memory, but I seem to recall a number near 16,000 or so. I went. A ton of people that I know attended as well. There was truly something for everyone.

Now, the Owensboro Flea Market is back!

Stewart Promotions, which organizes annual markets in Kentucky and Tennessee, recently announced a new partnership with the Owensboro Convention Center. That partnership will feature three flea market events and a Christmas shopping spectacular in December.

Here are the dates for the this year's markets in Owensboro:

March 28-29-30

July 11-12-13

September 26-27-28

December 5-6-7

Stewart Promotions says there will be over 250 vendors at the March event and the booths promise "incredible bargains and unique treasures." To give you an idea of what you can expect, here's a look at the proposed floor plan for the flea market. This looks massive!
