Owensboro Hosting Holiday Stroll Downtown This Saturday [PHOTO]
The holiday season is certainly in full swing here in Owensboro. One thing our community does really well is host incredible events for families. This Saturday, December 3, everyone is invited to the 2016 Holiday Stroll in Downtown Owensboro.
The event will take place from 1 p.m.-8 p.m. and includes; Christmas caroling, photos with Santa, shopping at local small shops, ice carvings, downtown dining, and ends with annual Christmas Tree lighting in Smothers at 5 p.m.
Other activities include the "Elf on the Shelf" Scavenger Hunt downtown will begin at 1 p.m. All you have to do to get registered for the event is head on over the Owensboro-Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 215 E. 2nd. Elves will be hidden all throughout downtown and they must be located! The grand prize is a Nashville Christmas Weekend Getaway with a two-night stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel and tickets to "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" musical at Gaylord Grand Ole Opry House.
There is also a Christmas Show at the Owensboro Convention Center and will be going on all weekend through December 4.
And don't forget to stop by the official "HOT CHOCOLATE CHALLENGE" on the front lawn of the Owensboro Convention Center from 12:30-4:30. School teams were asked to come up with a sales pitch and strategy to sell their product (Hot Chocolate). It should be an awesome time!. Come down and support these kiddos!
