Owensboro Parent & Owensboro Family YMCA Hosting Kids Triathlon

Owensboro Parent and the Owensboro Family YMCA are giving the youth in our area a chance to display their fit lifestyles with a Kids Triathlon.  The fun gets underway this weekend and there is still time to register!

The race will begin and end at the Owensboro Family YMCA at 900 Kentucky Parkway.

Race Date:
Saturday, July 21 (Mandatory pre-race meeting at 7:15AM, 8:15AM, 9AM, 9:45AM before your respective heats)

Ages 4-6:
Swim 25 yards
Bike and Run .55 miles

Ages 7-10:
Swim 75 yards
Bike 1.76 miles
Run .96 mile

Ages 11-14:
Swim 125 yards
Bike 3.57 miles
Run 1.76 Miles

Start Time by Age Groups:
11-14 Years Old: 7:30 AM (Mandatory Parent Meeting at 7:15AM)
9-10 Years Old: 8:30 AM (Mandatory Parent Meeting at 8:15AM)
7-8 Years Old: 9:15 AM (Mandatory Parent Meeting at 9:00AM)
4-6 Years Old: 10:00 AM (Mandatory Parent Meeting at 9:45AM)

Registration:
Early Registration thru 11:59pm, June 30 - $22
Pre Registration July 1-July 20 until 11:59pm - $27
Race Day Registration 7:00-7:30am - $35

slots will be open date of event)

If for some reason they have to cancel because of weather, there will be an alternate date. Same times and rates apply.

I love the idea of a kids triathlon.  My son Tucker began running with me when he was just a little older than 2.  He would wake up early and beg me to put his running shoes on.  He is now 5 and still loves running and doing physical activity.
