The Daviess County High School Class of '89 is beaming today!  We are so proud of our classmate Steve Bridgmon, who had the honor of singing the National Anthem last night at the LA Lakers game.  Steve is the founder of the gospel group Firm Foundation and is certainly no stranger to performing.  But chances like THIS come once in a lifetime.  And, Tuesday night, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Steve completely seized the day and rocked out that one moment in time.  Standing before 20,000 screaming fans, Steve laid out "The Star-Spangled Banner!"  WATCH!

Steve called into The WBKR Waking Crew Tuesday morning and joked that he hoped Kanye West didn't try to take the mic from him.  Luckily for us and the crowd at the Staples Center, that didn't happen.

Congratulations, Steve!  That was an amazing performance.  You did Owensboro, the country, the Lakers, the Mavericks, Kanye and the Daviess County High School Class of '89 proud!
