We have an update to a story that Angel shared exactly one month ago here at WBKR.  J.T. O'Bryan of Owensboro, who's a World War II veteran, turned 100-years-old on October 2nd.  J.T.'s family asked the public to help make his 100th birthday special by sending him cards.  In fact, his great granddaughter, Sidney Ostby, said, "I want to blow his mailbox up."  And you all delivered!  The result has been incredible.

J.T.'s daughter Theresa Skaggs stopped by the WBKR studios yesterday with an update.  So far, J.T. has received 1,830 birthday cards and they are from just about anywhere you can think of!  He has received cards from Texas to England.

In addition to cards, J.T. has received money, gift cards, family photos, veterans' patches, medallions and more.  Plus, he's received cakes, candies, pies, ice cream and other delicious birthday treats!

He's also been contacted by a few Girl Scout Troops, who have sent him cards and Happy Birthday wishes.

And, heck, it's not too late to get in on the action!  If you would like to send a card or letter to J.T. you can send them to . . .

According to Theresa, J.T. has absolutely loved reading all the cards he has received.  His 100th birthday was definitely memorable as thousands shared the moment with him!  Happy Birthday, J.T.!
