As if Dollywood isn't enough, here's yet another reason to visit Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

My buddy Daniel Rigling and his family are currently vacationing there.  In addition to hitting up some of the better-known attractions in the Smoky Mountains, like Ripley's Aquarium in nearby Gatlinburg, they visited The Island Family Fun Center, which is a huge entertainment venue that features shopping, live music, entertainment, food and, yes, fountains!

The Island is home to intricately choreographed fountain shows that are regularly scheduled throughout the day and night during their business hours.  The Riglings happened to be visiting when the the show set to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" was about to start.  Daniel caught the whole performance on video.  This is remarkable!

A big thanks to Daniel for letting us share the video.

One of the big selling points of The Island is the fact that there is no admission charge.  You basically just "pay for what you want to do once you arrive."  The Island Show Fountain is one of the park's FREE attractions.  As you can see in Daniel's video, some folks are sitting in rocking chairs.  There's a large number of those chairs around the fountain so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the shows, which begin every thirty minutes and last for two songs a piece.

The Island also features fun rides and attractions like The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, Island Bumper Cars, the 7D Dark Ride Adventure and more.

There are also some family fun dining options like Paula Deen's Family Kitchen, Mellow Mushroom, Dick's Last Resort and Margaritaville.  And, there are over 40 different retail stores and you can shop 'til you drop.

The Island is open seven days a week, 365 days a year.  For a complete list of operating hours, CLICK HERE!
