This Free TN Christmas Light Trail Will Make Your Holidays Bright
It won't be long now, and by that, I mean that soon there will be more Christmas light displays around the country than you can shake a stick at. Trust me, that's a LOT of Christmas lights.
Private residences, businesses, parks of every kind...they are ready to flip the switch and the put the Griswolds to shame.
And I am here for it. Although if I'm to experience a free Christmas light extravaganza in east Tennessee, I'll need to be THERE for it. There as in Pigeon Forge.
The Smoky Mountains are the perfect place to spend Christmas away from home if spending Christmas away from home is your thing this or any year. For one thing, well, the SMOKIES are your backdrop. Talk about Christmas card perfection. Then there all the attractions that do not close for the season until after Christmas. And there is the magical and FREE Christmas Light Trail, something no holiday traveler in Pigeon Forge should miss.
As your adventuresome hosts ill tell you, the Winterfest Wonders of Light Walking Trail lives up to its billing AND its name. The parking is also free. What are you waiting for?
Walk-through arches, a great big caterpillar, a 20-foot-tall ice fountain, and any number woodland critters in Christmas light form are waiting to escort you into the holiday season. But you have to get there first, so use the map you'll find in this collage:
