Say what you will about Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly, and I have--I don't always agree with the man. But his Monday night "Reality Check" segment, devoted solely to the death of Whitney Houston, was among the most important analysis I've heard regarding the late pop superstar. In fact, I would go so far as to label it a call to arms. We can regret the path Whitney Houston's life took. And we can regret the drug use and abuse that robbed the world of one of its all-time greatest voices. But it would be a mistake to overlook either. It would be a mistake not to examine her self-destructive lifestyle and consider it in larger and more relevant terms. And on Monday night, that's exactly what O'Reilly did. Tributes are fine. Ignorance is dangerous.
