Next weekend is the River City Festival of Films in Owensboro.

And, what is really neat is that famous actor-director Peter Weller (pictured above) is going to be in town for two events.

It's all put together by Owensboro-based filmmaker P. J. Starks. His firm, Verite Cinema, is the backing of this event. There's no admission but contributions will be given to New Beginnings.

1490 WOMI contributing host Kirk Kirkpatrick spoke with P.J. and his associate Claude Bacon about the festival and activities next Saturday at the Owensboro Convention Center.
