Okay, I can understand if a robot is needed to help disarm a bomb, but to clean? It's very Rosie the Robot from The Jetsons. It's happening at Walmart and other major retailers.

The retail giant, after a successful round of tests last year, will be implementing robots or "smart assistants" to help with cleaning, stocking, price checking, and order pickup.

These new assistants will be there so that human associates can readily assist customers face to face.

At the Mall of America in Minnesota, shoppers have been introduced to Pepper:

I don't know; she's no Rosie.
