The team at Hermitage Care launched a pen pal program to help encourage seniors during this difficult time. What a perfect way to spread joy to these residents that are battling loneliness.

Ann Bowdan Wilder, Media/PR/Communications Manager with Hermitage Care & Rehabilitation Center said that they are excited to introduce The Pen Pal Program. She said, "The program started just a few days ago and, while it is in its infancy, word is already getting out and we couldn’t be happier by the profound interest and response by our wonderful community!"

Bowdan went on to add, "The idea started when the leadership team at Signature HealthCARE’s Hermitage Care & Rehabilitation Center, particularly its Activities Department, which is always looking for ways to keep our beloved residents connected to their community, wanted to add to its list of activities to keep residents engaged and inspired. Hermitage knows this is absolutely crucial during the difficult season of COVID-19 and the current restrictions on visitation required for the utmost safety of all."

We think it's a beautiful thing and encourage everyone to become a pen pal today!
