The Beaver Dam Tourism Commission are bringing people together for music, food and social distancing this summer. “Sounds on 2nd” is a FREE weekly concert series located in Downtown Beaver Dam. The season kicks off with Friends, and it's safe to say I'll be there to listen. My son is the lead singer of the band!

“Sounds on 2nd,” will kick-off on Friday, July 3rd, 2020 and continue every Friday evening through the end of September. CDC and State guidelines will be followed. Folks will be asked to register / check in at the event to register for prizes that include concert tickets, shirts, and more.

The season kickoff will feature Friends. Obviously, I've been listening to and following the band for many years. Joshua Orion is the lead singer and my step-son. He's super talented and also plays the piano, along with the guitar and harmonica. The band plays a lot of classic rock and I guarantee you'll love them too!

Becky Geary, Executive Director of Beaver Dam Tourism Commission stated, “Sounds on 2nd is a time to come out and listen to great music. It’s a chance to enjoy a meal and relax after working all week. Although things will be a little different than in the past, we are hoping to bring a little normalcy back to Beaver Dam. There will be guidelines in place to ensure everyone’s safety including encouraging social distancing, sanitizing areas, and staff wearing gloves and masks as needed. While it’s not mandatory that you wear a mask, we recommend that you do.”

Paul Sandefur, Mayor of Beaver Dam added, “We recently completed a portion of a redevelopment project along 2nd street that widened sidewalks, added outdoor seating areas, and made a portion of the street one-way. This will help provide a nice setting and fresh feel for events such as Sounds on 2nd. There are more projects in this part of town in the works.”

Thank you to the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission for bringing great music to the area. We all are ready for a dose of FUN. We appreciate you!
