SummerFest Continues Through September 1st at Gaylord Opryland Resort

Shrek. Madagascar. Kung Fu Panda. Rise of the Guardians. Puss in Boots. It's a veritable DreamWorks Greatest Hits collection. And all of those huge hits play a part in Gaylord Opryland Resort's SummerFest which continues through September 1st.

Character meet & greets, games and crafts, themed snacks and drinks, great music, and a DreamWorks Animation full-length feature on a large screen are all part of DreamWorks Family Fun Night Events. There 's the Kung Fu Panda Most Awesomest Party...Ev-er! on August 10. Then on August 24th, enjoy the Puss in Boots Purrrrrrfect Pajama Party which will be followed, on August 31st, by Family Fun Night with Shrek & Friends.

How does a crack-a-lackin' cook-in sound? How about a Madagascar Crack-a-Lackin' Cook-In? Well, loosen your belts and get ready for a huge Madagascar-themed brunch menu with delicious desserts, including the Flingin' Chimps Chocolate Fountain! You'll also be able to meet some of your favorite characters as you chow down.

Now, I have to wonder if we'd get to see Shrek do a big belly flop during the DreamWorks Experience Pool Party, but I guess we'd all just have to show up to find out. What a great party as Nashville's top DJ kicks off the festivities with great music to accompany exciting pool games. Plus you can meet your favorite DreamWorks characters from Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and Madagascar!

Maybe you're up for a scavenger hunt. Well, this isn't just ANY scavenger hunt. It's the Rise of the Guardians Scavenger Hunt where you look everywhere--high, low, and in-between--to find anything that seems out of the ordinary so you can earn a themed key chain.

And, of course, you can enjoy Gaylord Opryland Resort classics like Delta Riverboat rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, and the Delta Fountain Show.

Plus, make sure you get your taste buds ready for the Taste of Opryland Dine-Around Tour during which a guide will lead you through the hotel stopping at several award-winning restaurants along the way giving you the chance to sample unique food and drink. And, you'll learn fun facts about Nashville and the resort's history as you enjoy scenic views of Gaylord Opryland Resort's world-famous indoor gardens.
