McLean County Community Rallying Together for Nate Englehardt
Nate Englehardt, a talented football player at McLean County High School and soon-to-be junior, was recently involved in a serious ATV accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury (TBI). He was life-flighted to Vanderbilt, where he remains under the care of an incredible team of doctors, nurses, and specialists. #PrayForNate
As Nate fights through this challenging time, the McLean County community is rallying around him and his family. Several fundraisers are being organized to help ease the financial burden and show support during this emotional and uncertain journey.
Nate’s Progress: An Update from Mom and Dad
Update on Nate: He continues to amaze us daily with his progress! One of the doctors who treated him initially in the PICU came up to check on him last night and was amazed at how well he is doing. He has good days/hours, and he has bad days/hours - which is typical for his type of injury. We hope to be discharged from here soon and head to Frazier in Louisville for inpatient rehabilitation. We know the road to recovery will be long and there will be bumps along the way, but we also know that Nate, through the grace of God, will make it. We would again like to express our most heartfelt gratitude to the community. The prayers and support we have received are amazing - we couldn’t have made it this far without God and all of you! Shirts for Nate!
Shirts are being sold to help support Nate and his family during this time. Not only is it a way to give, but it’s also a way to show your support and stand with Nate on his road to recovery. The design (shoutout to Zach Geary for creating it!) will be printed on a grey t-shirt to help keep costs low so everyone can have one. Shirts are $15 for sizes XS through XL. For 2X and up, add $1 per size (so 2X is $17, 3X is $18, etc.), all the way up to 6X. Every dollar goes directly to supporting Nate and his recovery. To order, please comment below or message Bailei directly for shirt orders.
