The spirit of the International BBQ Festival, in Downtown Owensboro, was alive and well today. Although the festival was cancelled because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, things looked quite a bit different. Hundreds came out to grab lunch while social distancing from their vehicles. Jaclyn and I got thirsty at the International Bar-B-Q Festival.  That's what happens after you eat deep fried desserts, a turkey leg and some burgoo without taking a drink.  LOL!  But, then, we stumbled across Wild Bill's Olde Fashion Soda Pop Co. and it was delicious.  Let us introduce you!

Friday and Saturday is Owensboro's famous International Barbecue Festival. And, this year is even better. The  Riverfront is finished. Smothers Park and the new Owensboro Convention Center and Hampton Inn will be showcased to the max. Great barbecue aromas and thick, blinding smoke will waft through downtown. And, we will be there.
