WBKR Hosts BBQ & Barrels T-Shirt Contest in Downtown Owensboro

Owensboro's annual BBQ festival is coming up Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th on the riverfront downtown. That festival, for its 2023 installment, is undergoing quite a makeover. The festival is now called BBQ & Barrels, a title which honors Owensboro's delicious history of BBQ, but also pays tribute to Kentucky's love affair with one of its most beloved commodities- bourbon!

To celebrate the launch of the "new" festival, WBKR is going to be on hand both days of the event with a really fun way to celebrate BBQ & Barrels. On Friday afternoon, starting at 3pm CST, we're going to be handing out 500 limited edition BBQ & Barrels t-shirts sponsored by Superior Asphalt.

But, to get your shirt, you need to bring us a printed version or screenshot of our official t-shirt voucher. It's below.

Now, here's where the fun really starts. Pick up your t-shirt on Friday (while supplies last) and then you are asked to wear it to the festival on Saturday! That's when we'll have WBKR "secret agents" downtown and they'll be on the lookout for people wearing our exclusive shirts. If you're decked out in our t-shirt, you could be randomly selected to win one of several incredible prizes up.
