“The Duke” John Wayne Auction Brings in 5.4 Million [VIDEO]

One of the greatest actors of our time "An American Icon" John Wayne, his estate recently sold over 700 of his movie items bringing in 5.4 million dollars. Items like the eye patch that he wore in 1969 "True Grit" sold for over $40,000. The "Green Berets" brought in the most money with a single item valued at over $179,000. John was in over 200 films spanning nearly 50 years, he had a total of 7 kids from his marriages and 15 grandchildren.

He passed away June 11th, 1979 with Lung Cancer at the age of 72, his films and his legacy will always live on as he rides off into the sunset.
