One Indiana hotel has made the list of the "15 Best Resorts in the U.S. for 2023,"

The Method

According to Trips to Discover. their researchers culled through reviews and feedback from TripAdvisor to determine the resorts that landed in the Top 15 using a couple of different tools to extract the data from the site. That data was reviewed on more than 2500 resorts across the United States.

Indiana Makes the List

With resort locations like Key West, Florida, and Las Vegas, Nevada, you might be surprised to see a hotel from Indiana on the list, but when you learn what the hotel has to offer, you just might understand why it can hold it's own against other properties like the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, or the Hotel Wailea in Wailea, Hawaii.

When it opened in 1902, the locals anointed the West Baden Springs Hotel as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Just roughly one hour south of Bloomington, Indiana, sits this opulent, European-inspired architecture marvel that is the crown jewel of the French Lick Resort. While the 243 elegantly historic rooms of the Hotel with its impressive 200-foot atrium are the main attraction, the resort hosts three golf courses, two spas, another hotel, a casino, and close access to Hoosier National Forest.

More on the Hotel

In addition to the 243 guest rooms and suites that are the pinnacle of luxury, you will also find casual and fine dining, retail shopping, formal gardens, and historic tours at the West Baden Springs Hotel. The property is also a member of the Historic Hotels Worldwide. The West Baden Springs Hotel is perfect for all your travel needs whether it's a romantic getaway, corporate events, or a wedding.
