If you're planning to request an absentee ballot for the upcoming election, this is the final day to request one here in the Commonwealth.  My friend Richard House, from the Daviess County Clerk's Office, sent me a message this morning and asked me to share this with you and remind you.

If you would like an absentee ballot, there are a couple of ways to get one.  You can either call the Daviess County Clerk's Office by 4:30pm CST today at 270-240-5771.  Or, you can visit the portal at www.GoVoteKY.com.  If you make your request online, you must do so before 10:59pm CST.

Of course, early voting options are available here in Daviess County.  Beginning Tuesday, October 13th you can vote at the Daviess County Courthouse from 8:30am to 4pm and Saturdays from 8am to Noon.  You can also vote at the former Burke's location at Towne Square Mall 8:30am to 4pm.

If you plan to wait until Election Day to cast your votes, you will be able to do so at these locations here in Owensboro.
