This weekend, folks all over the tristate will be celebrating Independence Day.  And our friends at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana will be celebrating another special occasion as well.  It's the race track's 60th anniversary season and they're celebrating with the Sprint Stampede, July 2nd!

The Helfrichs have owned the track, the quarter-mile high-banked oval, for six decades and Tom Helfrich is a member of the National Late Model Hall of Fame.  And, over the years, the track has seen its share of racing superstars and legends walk through the gates and race on the track.  Among them . . . Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt and Owensboro native Darrell Waltrip.

This weekend's anniversary celebration, the Sprint Stampede, features MSCS Sprints, MOWA Wing Sprints, and UMP Modifieds. The Pit gate opens at 3:30pm.  Grandstands open at 4:30.  Warm-ups start at 6pm and racing begins at 7:30pm.

Adult tickets are $20 per person, students (ages 13-18) are $15 per person.  Children 12 and under are FREE!

Happy 60th anniversary to Tri-State Speedway!  Here's to another 60 years!
