Try These Fun and Creative Drink Combinations at Sonic This Summer

It's about to get hot here in the tri-state, so y'all better stay hydrated! My fam loves to stop at Sonic to wet our whistles or get a little treat after work or school, but we always stick to the same favorites. That is, until I found a Facebook group with lots of creative members who have set out to find new and exciting drinks.

Sonic Drink Ideas

One of the things I have always loved about Sonic is that they have different flavors you can add to your drinks. I went through a serious Cherry Diet Coke phase, but there really are hundreds of different combinations you can choose from. Of course, their Ocean Water (Sprite and Blue Coconut) is so popular, it has a permanent spot on the menu, but with sugar free options, fresh fruit options, and candy options, you can have a lot of fun with your order.

Sonic "Hidden Menu" Drinks

Now these aren't actual drinks on the menu, so if you pull up and ask for "Mermaid Water", the carhops may be confused, but if you order by ingredients, you'll get a refreshing treat for your tastebuds! It's even easier if you order on the Sonic App, and if you know you know, it's always Happy Hour on the Sonic App! A lot of these could be turned into a cocktail by the pool as well. Just throwing that out there...

"Bomb Pop"

Order a Cherry Limeade and add:

• blue raspberry flavor
• twisted lime flavor
• real cherries
• limes

"Shark Bite"

• vanilla
• sweet cream
• strawberries

"Key Lime Pie"

Order a Sprite or Sprite Zero and add:

• twisted lime syrup
• sweet cream
• a lime
• a cherry

You can also order a lime slushy and add some ice cream to make it a cream slush! Or a cheesecake shake and add twisted lime. So delish!

"Mermaid Water"

Order a regular water and add:

• sugar free peach
• sugar free raspberry
• lemons
• strawberries

This is perfect if you want something fruity without a ton of sugar or carbonation.

Peach Ring

Order a Sprite or Sprite Zero and add:

• peach flavor
• mango flavor
• sweet cream

Strawberry Shortcake

Order a Sprite or Sprite Zero and add:

• vanilla flavor
• strawberries
• sweet cream

Candy Shop

Order a Sprite or Sprite Zero and add:

• Hi-C
• Cranberry
• Twisted Lime
• Nerds candies

Blue raspberry or grape slushies would be great with this combo too!

Dirty Dr. Pepper

Order a Dr. Pepper or Diet Dr.Pepper and add sweet cream! Lots of people do this with Coke or Root Beer too and add a fruity flavor like strawberry, cherry, lime or coconut.
