During fourth-ranked Kentucky's Tuesday night 66-58 victory over the Missouri Tigers, Big Blue Nation gasped and held in that breath for a few moments when Wildcat center Reid Travis crumpled to the floor after accidental contact with teammate Keldon Johnson.

He was clearly in pain, but he walked off the court on his own steam, calming a few Blue nerves in the process.

However, he kept walking--on his own steam--straight off the court, into the locker room, and out of the game for the rest of the night.

And now the suddenly much younger 'Cats--Travis is a 23-year-old senior transfer from Stanford--face at least a couple of weeks without their productive big man contributing his 11 points and 7 rebounds per game.

Word came Wednesday night that it would be, minimum, two weeks before Travis sees any action on the hardwood.

That means he's out for Saturday's home game against Auburn and next Tuesday's Rupp tilt against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

But it's that March 2nd match-up that everyone will be eyeing--the return game against Tennessee...in Knoxville. And no Reid Travis.

The March 5th road game at Ole Miss won't be pleasant, either, for short-handed Kentucky.

CBS Sports reports that UK head coach John Calipari labeled the two-week estimate for Travis "conservative."

Kentucky is 22-4 and is currently tied for second place in the SEC with LSU at 11-2.
