These KY Virtual Field Trips Are Perfect for NTI Days or Any Day
I don't have kids, so I don't if kids today would even do this. But I would suggest to them to write the important events down. Even if they don't think they're important, one day well into the future, they'll wish they had made a record of this vacation or that spring break road trip or a banger of an end-of-school field day.
Or...a really dope field trip.
Virtual Field Trips
I wish I'd written a lot of stuff down; fortunately old photos are still available to fill in the gaps. But those elementary school field trips were a blast and I haven't forgotten them. In 2025, field trips still happen, but on days when snow covers the ground and students are home for non-traditional instruction (NTI), virtual field trips can fill voids of boredom.
And that's where Kentucky Agriculture & Environment in the Classroom swoops in with a brilliant program for homebound kids..."Kentucky Farms Feed Me" Virtual Field Trips.
Kentucky Farm Virtual Field Trips
Before kids set off on their virtual adventures, they should acquire a "Kentucky Farms Feed Me" student passport, an invaluable companion piece to the virtual field trip. The PK-1st Passport is a coloring and activity book. The Grade 2+ Passport is a 9-page activity booklet that corresponds to each of the virtual field trips seen above.
Being stuck in the house is no fun, especially for kids. Now, thanks to Kentucky Agriculture & Environment in the Classroom, they can get have a wonderful, educational experience "out" of the house while they're stuck inside.
