Western Kentucky Car Show Donates Massive $28,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

The 2nd annual Bluegrass Legends Experience Car Show in Owensboro was a massive hit, drawing hundreds of antique cars, hot rods, muscle cars, jeeps, and bikes to the streets. The event offered something for everyone—whether enjoying delicious food, listening to live music, showcasing a classic car, or admiring the best vintage vehicles around it was a family-friendly celebration that not only provided a great time but also raised significant funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!

Did you make it to the huge car show over the summer? It was truly the event of the year! Over 1,000 motoring enthusiasts of all ages flocked to the Bluegrass Legends Experience Car Show, Food Truck Rally, Vendor Show, and Swap Meet at Moreland Park and the Owensboro Sportscenter. As we look ahead, Jimmie and Janie Rhoades are already hard at work planning this year’s show, and the excitement is building! We can’t wait to see what’s in store for this year’s event.

SUE HENDERSON, NATIONAL AMBASSADOR FOR ST. JUDE

Sue Henderson, the National Ambassador for St. Jude, has raised over $600,000 for the hospital over the past 14 years, significantly impacting children and families at St. Jude. Her dedication is inspiring—she gives her time, money, and talents to support the cause. Sue is one of my favorite people, and with the help of Bluegrass Biker News, countless volunteers, and Sue herself, the support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is unmatched. Working alongside her is always the highlight of my year, and we were thrilled to have her join us for this year’s St. Jude Radiothon!

2024 BLUEGRASS LEGENDS EXPERIENCE CAR SHOW DONATION

Jimmy, Janie, and Sue made a special stop at the St. Jude Radiothon to present a generous check from the Bluegrass Legends Experience and Bluegrass Biker News. Their passion for helping others, especially the children at St. Jude, shines through in everything they do. They understand the power of giving back!

Between the Bluegrass Legends Experience Car Show and the St. Jude Fall Festival, an incredible $28,000 was raised for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! This generous support will go a long way in helping the hospital continue its life-saving work. It’s amazing to see the community come together for such a great cause, and events like these truly make a difference in the lives of children and families in need.
