Western Kentucky Botanical Garden

Known as "Owensboro, Kentucky's premier place for lovers of gardens and flowers!" the WKY Botanical Garden down on 2nd street is a jewel in the city's crown. What started as a dream for Dr. and Mrs. William Tyler and local master gardeners in 1993, is now a beautiful and thriving community space for folks of all walks of life.

15th Annual Daylily Festival

For fifteen years now, the gardens have celebrated the annual Daylily Festival. Highlighting the incredible collection of daylilies in the gardens as they reach prime blooming time.  There are over 800 varieties of them!

July 6th from 4PM to 7PM, admission is only $5 for folks over 18. Anyone 18 years old and younger are free, so this will be a great event for families. Especially considering how much fun it will be.

With live music, a photo booth, food trucks, cash bar, petting zoo, face painters, and a bubble wonderland, it will definitely be a night to remember! There will even be a Silent Disco to dance the night away. At the end of the night, you can take home a souvenir by purchasing a clump of lilies to plant in your own garden.
