Western KY Silent Disco Hosting Born in the USA Party in Owensboro

It's time to start planning your best red white and blue ensemble and cancel any plans you may have for the evening of May 25th. Have you ever heard of a Silent Disco? Well, there is a very special one planned to celebrate the good ole U.S. of A.

What is a Silent Disco?

Unless you are in on the party, a silent disco may look a little funny. There aren't big loud speakers with music blaring. Hence the "silent" part of the name. That's because dancers wear headphones as the playlist inspires the sweetest of moves on the dance floor. Usually there is a particular theme. They just hosted one that was "Flower Power" with all things 60's and 70's music, peace signs, bell bottoms, and so much fun.

Where is the Born in the USA Silent Disco?

The Pub in Second is playing host to a whole Summer Series of Silent Disco parties. starting with an epic Born in the USA theme. Pub owner, John Condray, told me these shindigs will have a block party feel downtown with green cups for drinks so folks can visit any business on the street to enjoy being outside in the beautiful weather.

What Kind of Music Will Play at the Born in the USA Silent Disco?

One of the great things about a silent disco is that you can choose from three different channels on your headphones. Hip-Hop, Top 40, and American Classics. Some of your favorite artists will be featured like Bruce Springsteen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Martina McBride, Elton John,  Aaron Tippin, Rodney Atkins, and one of the most patriotic country stars to ever live, Toby Keith.

When is the Born in the USA Silent Disco?

Saturday May 25th from 8PM to Midnight, you can dance the night away by renting headphones from the Silent Disco for only $5. Enjoy food and drinks from downtown restaurants and bars and have a grand old time with your friends.
