I absolutely love celebrating the 4th of July by heading to downtown Owensboro to watch our beautiful fireworks display!   Here's a list of some of the amazing shows you can take the family to this year!

1.) All American Fourth of July-Downtown Owensboro

The City of Owensboro invites everyone to downtown Owensboro’s riverfront to celebrate the All-American Fourth of July on Sunday, July 4.  To cap off the evening, the skies above the Ohio River will light-up with the City’s largest fireworks display downtown with some of your favorite patriotic music at 9:15 pm.

The City encourages guests to arrive early to set up their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening full of entertainment for the entire family. The Owensboro Convention Center will again be hosting 4th Fest presented by Kentucky Legend in the exhibit hall from 4:00 pm until the end of the fireworks.

Three (3) additional locations throughout the city will also be launched simultaneously with the riverfront show. These locations include Centre Court/Shifley Park, Owensboro Sportscenter/Moreland Park, and Owensboro Warehouse Leasing/former GE plant. Spectators can tune in to 92.5 FM WBKR to listen to the soundtrack to which the fireworks have been choreographed.
