Now that the 2015 International Barbecue Festival has come to a close, are you, maybe, a little curious about what passes for barbecue in the other 49 states?

Honestly, I've had barbecue in Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Missouri and it was all delicious.

Just different.

And that's fine. I like variety. But to be honest, the mutton I can get in Owensboro beats all of the above. But, like I said, none of all of the above was bad.

Let me put it this way, when I was growing up and my dad or mom or both said we were going for barbecue, well, it always meant mutton. Didn't have to specify.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. A very reliable website has sought out what it believes to be the best barbecue from each of the 50 states.

And, by the way, you'll never guess what state's top-selected dish is Arkansas baby back ribs.

Hint: it ain't Arkansas. Click here to get the lowdown.
