2013 Masters Recap — Adam Scott Wins the Masters in Sudden-Death Playoff
Did y’all know that I’m a big golf fan? No?!? Well, I am! My whole family is, we love it! Am I a good golfer? Heck no, I’m terrible! But, I’m a really good beer cart girl, ha!
One reason that I love golf is because of the self-discipline it takes to really succeed in the sport. Another is because of all of the summers that we would ride around on a Sunday afternoon in August to follow our friends Jason and OJ Lancaster in the Mayfield Golf and Country Club WKA. But, the main reason I love golf is Adam Scott. If you don’t know who he is, ladies, google him NOW, ha! He’s not too shabby to look at and did I mention that he’s Australian?!? Yes…he’s a professional athlete, hot AND has an awesome accent! That trip around the world would be worth the jet-lag, ha!
Adam Scott just happened to win the Masters today and gained himself a beautiful green jacket. Keep reading as Joe Student breaks down the intense finish…
Adam Scott birdied the second playoff hole to beat Angel Cabrera and win the 2013 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia on Sunday. In winning his first-ever major, Scott became the first Australian ever to win the Masters.
The tournament pressed on to a sudden-death playoff for the second consecutive year after both Scott and Cabrera made epic shots on the 18th hole in the final round. Scott sank a 20-foot putt, while Cabrera made a near-perfect shot from the fairway that set him up with a short putt to tie. Both players were able to par the first playoff hole, before Scott got his birdie for the Masters win.
