I am originally from Ohio County, specifically Hartford. I spent a lot of my early years tagging along with my Dad to various sporting events, so needless to say, I love sports! My favorite sports are basketball, baseball, football, tennis. My favorite team bar none is the St. Louis Cardinals. I love TV way too much! A partial list of my favorite shows would include The Walking Dead, Orange is the New Black, American Horror Story, Glee, Pretty Little Liars, GIRLS, Sons of Anarchy, Face Off, Survivor, The Big Bang Theory, you get the idea. My hobbies include reading, writing, blogging and spending time with my niece Zoey. Louisville Guard Chris Jones Dismissed From Team After Alleged Threatening Text Message

On Sunday, one day after Louisville got their first win after several losses in a row, senior point guard Chris Jones (who's now more famous for his UK game flop in December) was dismissed from the team. Jones, who was also benched for his flop and he had missed Louisville's loss to Syracuse, has been accused of allegedly sending a threatening text message to an unidentified woman. Thus, Coach Rick Pitino  had enough.

Former NASCAR Sprint Cup Champ Kurt Busch Suspended Indefinitely

Kurt Busch won the Nascar Sprint Cup (then Nextel series) in 2004. Since then, his little brother Kyle has notched up impressive stats, and Busch has seen more drama off the track then on. Nascar suspended Busch the elder indefinitely on Friday after an investigation into allegations of domestic violence against an ex-girlfriend surfaced. Regan Smith will drive Busch's no. 41 for Stewart-Haas Racing in Sunday's Daytona 500.

Muhlenberg County’s Airdrie Featured On KET’s ‘Kentucky Life’ [VIDEO]

In John Prine's "Paradise", he mentions "...old Airdrie hill" and I'm not sure I had ever seen a picture or video of it until a couple of weeks ago. The KET series 'Kentucky Life' recently aired an episode entitled, "Abandoned Kentucky", and the first segment focuses on the abandoned Airdrie Iron Works near Paradise in Muhlenberg County.

Ohio Co. Superintendent Delivers “Rapping” One Call For No School [AUDIO]

When I was growing up and there was a chance of snow in the forecast, I knew the phone would be ringing at my house. My Dad was a teacher and one time assistant principal for over 30 years. Back then, I think the teachers/administrators used a phone tree system, you know you call these five people, then he or she calls five more people and so on. Boy, have times changed. And although a recorded "one call" from the superintendent goes out now, Ohio Co's Scott Lewis decided to get a little a creative when the one call went out Tuesday for no school for the remainder of the week. This Kid Rules His Valentine’s Dance At Beaver Dam Elementary [VIDEO]

I saw this video pop up at least twice in my feed on Friday. You know, they didn't have Valentine's dances when I was in school, cue sad trombone. In fact, I didn't go to a real dance until middle school, and I won a dance contest at one of my 8th grade dances, true story! Who knew a Valentine's dance could be this fun!
