What Are The Top Country Songs of 2023?

Here at WBKR, we're getting ready for our annual Big BKR Smackdown, the frantic and fun on-air and online event that allows you to vote for your favorite songs of the year- in real time! For the second consecutive year, the Big BKR Smackdown is going to feature the Top 64 country songs of the year going head-to-head, bracket-style in a 'March Madness'-inspired tournament for all the glory!

Of course, The Big BKR Smackdown isn't taking place in March. It's set for Friday, December 29th, 2023 and it gets underway at 7am CST. We've been closing out the year like this for over a decade here at WBKR and that tradition continues.

Dave Spencer and I will be hosting the event that gives YOU the chance to vote, in real time, for your favorite songs of the year. By the end of the day, your votes will have narrowed our list, our bracket of 64 popular country songs, down to one- the champion!! The #1 Country Song of 2023.

Now, to get the ball rolling and to seed our tournament bracket, we're going to put you to work in what we consider our preliminary Smackdown round. Here's a list of the Top 64 country songs of 2023. These are songs that made their way onto the country charts this year and received airplay here at WBKR! There are some indisputably massive hits on this list. There are some songs that didn't enjoy as much chart success, but certainly had their share of fans as well. We want to know which ones are YOUR favorites. Vote for your Top Ten NOW!!
