Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhh! I'm getting a headache. We've had uproars over bubble guns, paper guns, and invisible hand grenades. Now we have a controversy surrounding a 9-year-old's birthday cupcakes because they were decorated with plastic toy soldiers.

The little guys were deemed inappropriate by Schall Elementary School in Caro, Michigan because the little plastic soldiers were carrying guns--like they always have.

The boy's mother made 30 cupcakes for her son's entire class. Each had a soldier. The soldiers were carefully removed and the children were then allowed to enjoy the cupcakes.

How silly is all this? I mean, on a scale of 1 to 10, aren't we into the 20s by now? I think all this overreaction just scares the kids and is counterproductive. We HAVE to start thinking straight and working to solve issues in a sensible way, or they're not getting solved.

Come on, people. They're toy soldiers!

They've been around since Moses was in a onesy! Throwing on a hazmat suit and cordoning off 5 city blocks because of cupcakes just isn't the answer.
