Owensboro-Daviess County Central Dispatch Director Paul Nave was recently named the recipient of the inaugural Presidential Award during the 2018 Kentucky Emergency Services Conference . We're SO proud!

During the 2018 Kentucky Emergency Services Conference (KESC) held in Louisville last week, Nave be came the recipient of the inaugural Presidential Award.

The Kentucky Chapter of the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) and the Kentucky Emergency Number Association (KENA) recognized several individuals during their 2018 Kentucky Emergency Services Conference (KESC) held in Louisville. They stated that, "Paul was an easy choice for this award and has worked diligently to ensure quality 9-1-1 service is being offered throughout Kentucky. Paul has been a leader among his peers for many years".

Paul says this about receiving the award, “I was humbled to receive such a prestigious award from my peers.

The time and effort invested into both organizations help me fulfill my Stewart leadership philosophy in the aspect that I am truly helping every 9-1-1 PSAP in the Commonwealth and the citizens of my community with enhanced technology to improve call locations accuracy, shaving seconds to minutes off response times and to help increase funding to support 9-1-1 emergency centers ” Nave said.

Congrats to the Hopkinsville/Christian County 9-1-1 as they were also awarded “Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) of the Year” for their outstanding efforts during tragic events this past calendar year.
