The United States needed yesterday.  We have been toe-to-toe with China in the overall medal count, but our biggest stars, like Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte, hadn't quite been living up to their billing so far in London, though they rocked it out for gold last night in the mean's 4x200 meter freestyle relay!  It just seemed like Team USA needed a great big jolt.  And they got one last night, as the U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team just put a virtual beat-down on the rest of the world in the team competition.  They won gold by over 5 points, a margin of victory rarely seen in a sport usually decided by tenths of a point instead.  So, what can Team USA look forward to today?

Well, the swimming pool.  That's a GREAT place to start.

There will be finals in men's 200-meter breaststroke, and the 100-meter free.  Look for Nathan Adrian to make a big splash.  He is most definitely a threat for gold having logged the fastest time in the preliminary round.

For the women, the U.S.'s new sweetheart, Missy Franklin, will team up with mult-medalist Allison Schmitt try to lead the women to gold in the 4x200 meter free relay.  Franklin was 4th in last night's individual 200-meter freestyle.  Her teammate, Schmitt, won gold and shattered the Olympic record by a full second.

In gymnastics, Danell Leyva and John Orozco are podium contenders in the men's individual all-around.  They were rock solid in qualifying.

Plus, NBC primetime has beach volleyball and more!
