While I was on vacation I went to the movies in Sarasota to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.  And, as good as that movie was, THIS is the one I have been thinking about since I left the Regal 20.  I caught the trailer for Unbroken, a new feature directed by Angelina Jolie.  It gave me chills, nearly brought me to tears and I can't wait to see it this December.  Check this out!  I promise that you'll be moved in two minutes.

The film is based on the life of Olympic distance runner Louie Zamperini, who finished 8th in the 1936 Summer Olympics and later became a World War II prisoner of war.  The Coen Brothers adapted the screenplay from Laura Hillenbrand's Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Reslience and Redemption.

Zamperini, by the way, just passed away on the 2nd of July.  He was 97-years-old.
