CMA Entertainer of the Year – This is the Biggie
Alrighty, now, here is the big event: CMA Entertainer of the Year. Take the poll below and tell me who I should vote for in the most prestigious competition in Country Music.
Wow, if personal appearances are the criteria for this award, Jason Aldean has had his share this year. 66,000 turned out for a Georgia concert, headlined Boston’s Fenway Park and played Chicago’s Wrigley as well! Essentially a country singer fronting a rock band, Jason is nominated for the third time.
The party man, Luke Bryan released an EP this year and earned him his first #1 album, Spring Break … Hear to Party. Then, “Crash My Party” was released in August and sold an incredible 528,000 in its first week.
As Kizzy would say, her “Blake Honeybee Sheltrin”, is up for the top prize again after winning in 2012. His hosting TV’s “The Voice”, entertaining his nearly 4 million Twitter followers, sold out shows and great music may push him into the Entertainer stratosphere again.
Okay, so this makes 82 nominations for George Strait. No wonder we call him “King George”. He won Entertainer of the Year in 1989 and 1990. Can he do it again? Sure he can!
2009 and 2011’s Entertainer of the Year is in the running again in 2013. Worldwide sold out shows utilizing hundreds of costume changes, dancers, pyrotechnics and satellite stages, sets the stage for another win, even with the stiff competition.
Okay, there are your nominees. Tell me who to vote for.
