So now I can say that I have experienced an ACTUAL hurricane (Ike, September 2008) and a SIMULATED hurricane (mall in Paducah, June 2014).

I enjoyed the simulated one better.

Oh, and you saw that the video became a little haphazard--since I didn't know what to expect, I was a little thrown when my sunglasses flew off. But I guess "haphazard" behavior can be expected in a "hurricane."

To be honest the top wind speed in the hurricane simulator didn't quite get to the level of the top wind speed from Ike, which blew through the tri-state six years ago.

At least I don't think so.

But on a hot day, I'll take a controlled 78 mph wind gust anytime.
