George Jones’ Life and Legacy Remembered on First Anniversary of His Death [VIDEO]

While visiting friends in Nashville on Saturday afternoon, I slipped away to Woodlawn Cemetery. I hadn't yet seen the George Jones monument that had been erected in the last few months.

When I got there, there were still a few folks lingering after the gravesite ceremony commemorating the first anniversary of Jones' death.

Yes, it's hard to believe but the legendary Possum has been gone a year as of April 26th.

While I missed the words of, among others, Nancy Jones about George's life, I was lucky enough to find video of the ceremony.
