Ah, the sights, the sounds, the smells...the smells...the smells.

Oh, sorry. Got lost in a fog of hickory smoke for a moment, there. The 2012 International Barbeque Festival is this weekend. And the teams are gearin' up.

Honestly, is there a better aroma than when the cooking teams get going in the early morning hours in downtown Owensboro ahead of the official opening of the Barbeque Festival? I say no.

We'll all be downtown this weekend reporting live from the WBKR Mobile Studio. And, like last year, we'll hopefully be in the midst of these amazing teams as they prepare mutton, pork, chicken, beef, and burgoo. My mouth is already watering.

The seven cooking teams--which will be set up around the Daviess County Courthouse--are St. Mary Magdalene, St. Pius X, Crooked Creek, Precious Blood (the defending champs), St. Mary of the Woods, Blessed Mother, and Our Lady of Lourdes.

So, tell me, who do you think will win?

No, seriously, tell me:
